Eight aspects organize domain knowledge as analytical lenses. Eight sections organize development as a continuous process. Together, they give Octa its name and its structure.

Each aspect defines a field of attention. Used together, they support holistic understanding while allowing their emphasis to change with the purpose and context of the work.

Examines cosmological, atmospheric, hydrological, and geological conditions and their interactions. Together, these domains shape Earth-system dynamics, climatic mechanisms, environmental change, and extreme-weather impacts.

The aspects and sections are related structures, not matching sets. The eight aspects help determine what must be understood throughout the work. The eight sections provide the sequence through which that understanding is developed and applied.
Their intersection changes with the mission, context, and form of each undertaking. Detailed mappings, criteria, methods, and decision gates remain part of the Methodology's internal application.
